Confronting The Deceitful Plan

Why Did My Bride Hide My Sister In The Room

Mark sat inside his quiet parked car with his sister.

The summer breeze blew warm air through the open windows.

Sarah took a deep breath and drank some bottled water.

Sarah: Thank you for believing me back inside that room.

Mark: I will always protect you no matter what happens, Sarah.

Sarah: I was so scared when she locked the heavy door.

Mark: How did you find the key to the attic safe?

Sarah pulled a small metal key out from her dress pocket.

Sarah: Dad gave me this key before he passed away years ago.

Sarah: He told me to check the attic safe when I turned twenty-one.

Sarah: Today was my birthday, so I went up to look.

Mark realized why his sister went upstairs during the prep time.

She had followed their late father's final quiet personal wishes.

He felt a strong wave of love for his smart sister.

Suddenly, a knock came against the passenger car door window.

Lily was standing outside in her long white silk dress.

Tears were ruining her makeup down both of her cheeks.

Mark rolled down the black glass window a few inches.

Mark: There is nothing left for us to say, Lily.

Lily: My parents forced me to keep quiet about the house!

Mark: You made the choice to lock Sarah inside that room!

Lily: I panicked because I was afraid to lose you, Mark!

Mark: You were afraid of losing the mansion and trust fund!

Lily: That is not true, I really love you for who you are!

Mark: Real love does not hide secrets or hurt family members.

Lily placed her hands against the cool glass window pane.

Lily: What am I supposed to tell all our wedding guests?

Mark: Tell them the truth about your mother's greedy plan.

Uncle David walked up behind Lily with a calm stern expression.

David: Lily, you and your parents need to pack your things.

David: You have twenty-four hours to leave this estate property.

Lily: You cannot throw my family out of our home!

David: It is not your home, and police will assist us.

Lily turned around and walked back toward the big house.

Her mother was yelling at guests who were leaving quickly.

Cars were driving away down the long gravel driveway path.

Mark felt a big weight lift off his heavy chest.

He turned the car key and started the quiet engine.

Mark: Let us go home to our real family place, Sarah.

Sarah: What will happen to dad's house now, Mark?

Mark: We will keep it safe forever, just like dad wanted.
